Fixing the deck

The railing on our deck was really bad, even I didn't want to lean against it for fear of some pretty major splinters. So we decided to go ahead and replace it, especially since it would only take 4 boards. We went and got the boards and Isabella "helped" bring them in the house. Ken then measured and measured and measured and sawed (with a borrowed saw from Dad). We had forgotton to buy some nails though. So later we went over to Linda and Mike's house for a while and they offered to let us borrow their compressor and nail gun. Oh darn! So once we had that, I think it took all of 10 minutes to put the boards back in place (we'd taken them down overnight so they wouldn't fall) and nail them in. It looks nice. Sorry, I don't have a completed picture. I'll post one soon. Here's some pictures of Isabella "helping."

And hey, what better place to watch a movie than in a tent set up on the deck. We all sat and ate popcorn in the tent last night.
