Bryce's Blessing

So its been almost a week and I haven't had a chance to post pictures from Bryce's blessing. Here's some pics from the day. My sister, Linda, was kind enough to make Bryce's blessing outfit. She made the bonnet to go with it but it ended up gargantuan, so we didn't have him wear it. But we did get a picture of him with it on. It really was a beautiful day.

Cox Farms

We decided to go up to Cox Farms in Centreville today for a little Fall Fun. We dressed Isabella in her snazzy Halloween outfit that her Aunt Linda bought her. Bryce had on a halloween onesie that Linda bought as well, but I don't have a picture of that.

I just thought this was a darn cute picture of her. She was climbing on the wooden train they had.

Dancing! Isabella loves to dance and she was flirting it up with the boys there. Ken wasn't too thrilled about that.

Just another cute picture of her. She was carrying the pumpkin, but we didn't have any cameras out and the moment was gone by the time we could get them out.

Isabella on a couple of the many slides there. They had a ton of slides.

This one was really fast. A worker slid down a few before Ken and Isabella spraying Armorall on the slide in front of him.

Sorry this one is sideways, its from my sister's camera and I don't know how to turn it.

And just a bunch more pictures from the rest of the day.

Isabella!

Isabella has this "Seek and Find" Dora the Explorer book. One of the pages has a picture of a soccer game. For some reason, the character pictured below she has decided is her Uncle Mike. We're not sure why, but we thought it was funny. Hey at least she's thinking about him while he's overseas.

What better way to ride in the Costco shopping cart than to lounge back against the diaper bag.

This is what happens when playing in Grandma & Grandpa Gallahan's yard and Daddy's not paying the best attention.

Finger painting. She loves her paint shirt, which is an old t-shirt of Ken's. Sometimes she doesn't want to take it off when painting time is over.

Did you know this is what you're supposed to look like after eating a chocolate chip cookie right after you've had a bath?

And what better seat is there than on top of the new coffee table that Mommy & Daddy bought.

And we had to show off one of Bryce's Redskins outfits. Gotta show his (or his Daddy's) team affiliation.

Isabella loves her brother

So Isabella loves her brother. Sometimes a little too much. But Ken took a really cute picture of her with Bryce yesterday. Bryce wasn't too sure about it evidently.

And here's my sweet boy asleep in his bassinet.

And I had to add the picture of my poor little boy under the bili lights at the hospital. This was from the day we were released, he had to be under them all day to get his bilirubin level down enough that they'd release him.

We're all doing good, adjusting as best we can. Unfortunately, the fall colds have hit our house. Luckily only Ken and Isabella have gotten it so far. Hopefully we can keep it away from Bryce and I. Bryce is now sleeping in his crib at night, rather than in the bassinet in our room. He does still use the bassinet during the day so that he doesn't get run over by his sister. Other than that, he's stretching out and filling out a little. Newborn clothes finally don't look like they're going to swallow him up.

Another thing that happened at our house this week. While taking a nap on Monday, I heard a thud and a crash. I decided to wait until I got up to see what it was. It was quite a windy day here and we had left our patio umbrella open. The wind caught the umbrella really well and knocked it over onto our neighbors deck. The problem was that the umbrella was in the table at the time. We had a glass patio table. Unfortunately the table shattered. Ken swept everything up yesterday so that we can actually let Isabella out on the deck again. We'll replace the glass at some point in the future.

And one more piece of bad luck, Ken went to leave for work on Wednesday and the tire was flat on the van. He's been using my parents van because the clutch went out on his car and we haven't had the money to fix it yet. All that after my sister blew a tire out on her car on Monday. What a week!
