Bryce's Birthday

Can you believe my baby boy turned 1?  Holy Cow!  Where has the time gone.  This picture is from the week of his birthday.  Ken, unfortunately, was out of town during the week, but I wrestled Bryce down and thanks to the help of the Bumpo, got his hair cut.  So this was the after picture.

Bryce's Party was the Saturday after his birthday.  It was lots of fun.

Isabella showing off the pretty dress she wore for Bryce's party.

Needless to say, I wasn't quite as ambitious with the cakes as I was for Isabella's birthday.

Bryce received lots of great presents.  Of course, as with any 1 year old, he was fine with the first few presents, then he was done, and showed us that fact.

Bryce wasn't too sure about the cake at first (other than wanting to grab the candle).  But he soon got the hang of it.

Bryce playing after everybody left.

Overall it was a great day with family and friends.

Evidently he was still recovering the next day because he fell asleep in his high chair at dinner.

Gifts of the Heart Exchange

My kids being cute before church last Sunday.

Our Stake at church has started doing a yearly swap meet that they call the "Gifts of the Heart Exchange."  Basically members from the Stake clean out their closets and donate anything they want to get rid of.  No furniture though.  But they take clothing, household goods, baby items, toys, books, etc.  Drop offs for donations were Friday night and then they open it up for people to come and take anything they need.  Of course, my kids just recently jumped sizes, so I really needed to stock up.  I was able to get quite a few things for the kids.  Which makes me super happy since it was all FREE!

Check out the loot for Isabella.  I even found a Cinderella dress-up dress.

Here's Bryce's loot.

I checked out the shoes but all the Girl's shoes that were in half-way decent condition were the size Isabella wears now, so I didn't bother for her.  But I found these great sandals for Bryce.  He wasn't too sure about them, so it was funny watching him walk in them.

Not too shabby, huh?

Cousin Rhys's Birthday, New Shoes, and Isabella's First Haircut

My niece, Rhys, has a birthday the first of September.  Her family was down the weekend before and we celebrated her birthday with her then.  Bryce thoroughly enjoyed the cupcakes as you can see.
And of course, we didn't have any extra clothes for him, so Bryce ended up in just a diaper the rest of the day.  Since his cousin's can't be here for his birthday, they brought his present down ahead of time.  He really enjoys these blocks.
And he really enjoyed being naked too....as you can see.

And Bryce got some new shoes that he was not too sure about.

And last but not least, Isabella had her first professional haircut.  We took her to Cartoon Cuts, thinking that it might help a little.  Boy were we wrong.  She was not thrilled about this experience at all.

They were able to get it relatively even, although they didn't cut off as much as we wanted, but it was a start.

Some fun pictures

Thought I'd share some fun pictures.

So, I went outside to take a picture. I think I was taking a picture of a storm front coming in. It was so cold in our house that the camera fogged up because of the change in temperature. Well it ended up being a pretty cool picture.

This picture is just too darn funny.

Isabella was not quite ready to wake up from her nap but letting her chill out on the couch in her sleeping bag kept her from fussing too much.

Just too cute with them sitting there sharing cereal and watching cartoons

Playing in their John Deere sleeping bags - which we got for $5 each - SCORE!

I'm gonna get you

She's gets very focused at times when she's playing

How can you resist this guy?

Like I said!

This was too funny. I went out front to take a picture through the window and this was the face looking back at me

What? I'm not doing anything, I promise.

Yeah, can you tell we're in trouble with him?

Isabella's 3rd Birthday Party

We had Isabella's 3rd Birthday party today. Here are a few pictures from that. We had lots of fun with all the family that came.
