New Camera

So we bought a new camera and it came today. We spent a good chunk of the afternoon playing around with it. The last camera that I bought was probably 7 years ago and it is a point-and-shoot that is *gasp* only 3.1 megapixels. Our new one is a nice DSLR camera. Awesome quality. Here are a few of my favorites from the 237 pictures I took today.

A trip to Lowe's

So we needed to go to Lowe's this morning to get a couple of things. We didn't know it when we set out but they had a Kid's craft thing going on. So Isabella (with some help from Ken) went to build a cup and ball toy. They give each kid a little hammer (which they have to return), but they get to keep the apron and safety glasses. She had lots of fun. Bryce and I just wandered around the store while Isabella and Ken were building.

Picture Dump

Sorry, but this is going to be a bit of a picture dump since it's been a while since I've posted.

But first, the US Soccer Team won their group!!! First time since 1930. Now, hopefully they can go far at the World Cup. I guess we'll have to wait and see.



In May we went strawberry picking. Isabella had fun, but unfortunately we didn't know that she was getting sick at the time. So she probably didn't have quite as much fun as she could have. But we picked lots of strawberries.



We also got our pool set up at the end of May. You'll notice in a later picture that we ended up getting another pool. We thought we had a hole in this one. Come to find out, we were just missing a piece to the plug/airhole.

I got called out to the pool this afternoon to look at Bryce who was having a blast floating around all by himself. Every once in a while he'd lean too far forward and dunk his face in the water.

Guess who's mobile now

Guess who's mobile now! Bryce!

He's actually been mobile for a couple weeks now. He is all over the place and into everything. He absolutely loves power cords, so we have to be very careful and very diligent about keeping those tucked away so he can't see them. Because if he can see them, he will detour directly to them and pull them out. He also can pull himself up on the furniture, so he tends to chew on the couch alot as well. I'm thinking its just a matter of time before he's off and running.

We were in the process of cleaning and purging things. But don't worry, we pulled this little package out before it went out for the trash. =D

Primary

So I was recently asked at church to do the music in Primary, which is the classes for kids age 18 mos up to 12 years old. I've been a little nervous about it but have had fun so far. Ken is quite jealous as that was his favorite "job" at church. Well, this past Sunday, I decided to do something to get their attention. It worked.

This is what the kids saw at the start of singing time. (Just a few more jars and spoons.) In the jar is a mixture of water and vinegar. The spoon has food coloring and baking soda.

The spoons had songs written on them. The kids loved it. And it got the older boys to actually sing. I will definitely have to do this one again sometime.
