Yes, Isabella is talking more, and some of it we can understand.

Sorry no pictures this post, but a few funny stories from Isabella just to prove how much more she is talking.

A week or so ago, Ken was giving Isabella a bath. She's just playing around but after he finished rinsing the soap out of her hair, she grabbed him and said, "I'm wet!" It was too funny.

We were driving one evening about dusk, which if you've ever driven in Dale City, it is a terrible time to drive and be able to see thanks to the sun being right in your eyes. And it doesn't matter which direction you're going. Sunglasses and visors don't help at all either. So anyways, we're driving and Isabella told her hands in front of her face and says, "Can't see." Just the manner she said it was quite funny. I wish I could describe that in print.

And finally, last night we're over at Linda and Mike's house and Linda had bought this large piece of 5" thick foam. It was on the living room floor and Isabella had a ball climbing on it, running on it, jumping on and off it. At one point, Mike sat down on it and Isabella looked at him then looked up and said, "He take my seat." She was totally serious and then proceeded to try to push him off.

My daugher is goofy.

Sorry, no real baby updates. We don't have our sonogram until sometime next month, so we'll post some baby news then.

The easter egg hunt at Quantico was cancelled due to the downpour on Saturday morning. So we drove up, told them how many kids were registered, and they hand us that many goody bags they'd prepared. Each bag had about 15 filled eggs and a little rubber ducky. Isabella decided to put her rubber ducky to good use....as a pacifier.

Easter 2009

We had a fun but busy Easter Sunday. We started out with church, of course. While we were getting ready for church, Isabella had fun exploring what was in her Easter basket. The Easter Bunny brought her some puzzles and coloring books. And some little matchbox cars. She's very jealous of the boys in nursery and their cars, so it was very nice of the Easter Bunny to bring her some. And how could I resist getting a picture of her in her Easter dress. They're a little dark, sorry. The first one was from before church, the second one is at her Grandma Gallahan's house. At church, there was a great Easter program with wonderful musical numbers and then some great lessons in Sunday School and Relief Society.



After showing off her Easter dress at Grandma Gallahan's house, we ate a late lunch/early dinner and played for a while. Then it was time for Easter Egg hunting. Isabella found a basketful and decided that was enough and wanted to just sit and open and inspect all the eggs. It was funny to watch her.



After Easter Egg hunting, we headed over to Linda and Mike's for some dessert. It was nice to sit and hang out for a while. After that, it was home and to bed for a little munchkin. Isabella made out good for Easter. She also received a number of stuffed animals and a Little People Easter play set.

My poor little pumpkin....

She looks like she's been in a fight. She was outside playing with her Daddy yesterday afternoon, and for some reason, she has to be holding on to a stick when she's walking around the neighborhood. Well, she fell and Ken said the stick hit her and cut her lip. So between that and the cold/allergies that she's suffering from, she looks a little rough. Poor thing.

A great couple of weeks

Sorry for the lack of pictures, I've just been too lazy to upload the pictures. But I finally got around to it. So here are pictures from the last couple of weeks.


We taught Isabella to go "Wheeee" as we drive down the road. Especially when its nice enough to open the sunroof. It keeps her occupied when she's stuck in her carseat. And that's a new favorite of hers....to tell us that she's stuck.


My odd child. She loves to wrap herself up in a blanket and say "cold, cold." Even when its not cold in the house. I thought this shot of her was funny though.


And she had a little run-in with the sidewalk a couple weeks ago. Luckily this was as bad as she got. Just a scraped up nose.


Someone help me please. I'm in baby jail. This is her looking through the fence that overlooks the parking lot in front of our house.


Then she decided to lay down next to Daddy.


Can you believe that she sat and let me french braid her hair?




We had General Conference instead of regular church this weekend, so we went up to Washington DC this morning to see the Cherry Blossoms. There were quite a few people despite getting up there fairly early. But then again, the Cherry Blossom 10 mile run was going on. Here's a few pictures from the cherry blossoms.
