Isabella's First Birthday!

Can you believe it? My baby is one year old.

So, Isabella's actual birthday (Friday) was fairly uneventful. We hung out most of the day, visited with both sets of Grandparents. Then we went to Famous Dave's for dinner. She was fine and was being a flirt until they came to sing to her and Tammy. Then she wasn't too sure about it. She was the star of the show all day though. Some pictures of her and her "Princess" tiara are below.

We celebrated Isabella's first birthday with family and friends on Saturday. We set up at Cici's Pizza and had a great time. Here is a slideshow and a video from that event.

And here is proof that she enjoys cake!

Then there's the crash! She was out about 2 minutes after we got in the car.

Okay, we've been back from Emerald Isle for a few weeks and I still haven't gotten pictures up. Sorry!!! Isabella is down for a morning nap, so I thought I would take advantage of that and post some pictures. We had a great time at Emerald Isle, NC, with Ken's family. It was a nice relaxing week. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the week.

Isabella with the purple monkey that her Grandma Jackie gave her.

Isabella and the beach....need we say more.

Our smug little girl

And our sneaky little girl who was quite determined to crawl down to the water.

A very tired little girl curled over her Daddy's head and went to sleep.

At the Aquarium in Pine Knoll Shores, Ken decided to try imitate a frog. Isabella just sat on the frog.

Isabella and her Daddy at the beach and flying a kite.

We set up a pool on the deck of the beach house for when we didn't want Isabella down in the sand. She thoroughly enjoyed it.

The next post should be Isabella's first birthday! I know, can you believe it? Hopefully I will get those pictures posted next week. Harass me if I don't.

A busy couple months.

I know, I know....I haven't posted anything in a while. Its been a busy couple of months. And now that Isabella is into everything, it is much harder to use the computer during the day.

Tammy looked into selling Mary Kay and decided that it wasn't for her. However, she then looked into selling Avon and decided that it was a much better opportunity for her. So she has been selling Avon for a few weeks now. If you're interested, her Avon website is www.youravon.com/tgallahan. Tammy was also busy with her sisters finishing preparations for the McArthur Family Reunion in San Diego. We arrived back on Tuesday, the 24th, and are still adjusting to Eastern Time. More details and pictures will be posted below. Ken (and Tammy) have been enjoying Ken's Father's Day present. He got a Wii, but he got it a little early so that he could enjoy it for more than 3 days prior to our trip to San Diego. We've had a lot of fun playing it. Who ever thought you could get sore muscles from playing a video game!!!

Here are some details from our trip to San Diego:

Isabella took her first plane ride. She did very well and was even complimented by other passengers on the plane because she was so good. She is a big flirt, so she enjoyed all the different people.

We arrived in San Diego on Wednesday the 18th. After dinner, the Dixon's, Barton's, and Gallahan's that were there walked down to Mission Bay. It was about 2 blocks from the hotel. (don't mind the dates on the pics, I forgot to reset the date on the camera)

Thursday was spent running errands to get things we needed for the reunion. Thank goodness for Walmart and the commissary at Miramar! This is Isabella and her crazy hair that night:

On Friday, we were able to go to the San Diego Mormon Temple. It is a beautiful building that looks a little like a white sand castle.

After the Temple, we went to the San Diego Zoo. Of course, as with most of our McArthur Family Reunions, we were there while there was a heat wave. So it was quite hot at the Zoo, especially since there wasn't much breeze there. Ken took most of the pics at the zoo, so of course, there are some reptiles in there. I'll post a few, but not all of his reptile pics.

This is Isabella loving the Sky-fari sky tram across the zoo.

She liked seeing the polar bears too. So much that she had to climb on one.

This is a tired little girl after a long day at the zoo.

Freedom!!! Finally not in a car seat or stroller. This is at the park we went to for dinner after the zoo. The grass is oddly similar to astroturf there, so she enjoyed crawling in it.

Sunday at Mission Bay again. It was her first time putting her feet in the sand. And Issy with her feet in Mission Bay.

Issy also loved the swing as you can see here. This was at the playground next to the pavilion where we had Sunday dinner.

Ahh, the Pacific Ocean. The first pic is Ken & Issy with the Pacific behind them. The second pic is of a sea lion resting on the beach as La Jolla Cove. Then there is Issy in the Pacific Ocean.

Where are my legs? What is this stuff on my hands? Maybe it tastes good.

In about a week and a half, Issy will have been in both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, flown on a plane, and been to Disney World....all before she's a year old!!
